Title: Domesticity

Summary: Ian always lays awake long after Charlie and muses on the fact that domesticity isn't so bad with Charlie around.

Ian sleeps best when he has his warm, cuddly mathematician wrapped around him. The paradox is that he never wants to sleep when he is with Charlie.

Despite that he had transfered his base of operations to LA he is still on the road more than he is home and he always misses Charlie when he is away. When he is home he does his best to capture as many memories of Charlie as he can, to stave off the loneliness of the hunt.

He tugs Charlie slightly closer and breathes deeply, taking in the scent of his shampoo and skin. Ian watches as Charlie smiles, nuzzles him and mumbles "Ian" in his sleep.

It's things like this that make him happy. Laying in bed with Charlie, trying not to fall asleep, listening to the nonsense Charlie blathers in his sleep, watching for the tiny content smiles that appear from time to time.

Always he falls asleep long before he wants to but he alwys wakes up to Charlie kissing him, that quirky smile of his making the morning that much brighter.

Sleepy morning sex if it's the weekend, breakfast regardless of the day and a kiss as they head out the door if it's a weekday.

Later in the day they'll have lunch somewhere outside of their usual sphere of influence, unless they have a case. in the evening they'll go dancing or to a movie or just home to slow dance as they cook dinner. They'll talk about their day over the dishes then crash on the couch for a while. Charlie usually grades and prepares his notes while Ian reads.

Around 11 they'll go upstairs to shower if they haven't already, sometimes they have sex and sometimes they wont.
